GREYHOUNDS IN NOOD BELGIUM Rescue of dumped and /or tortured Spanish galgo’s ( Spanish greyhounds) and other greyhounds ( Irish) by their owners because they did not perform well enough anymore. The dogs are collected and brought to a safe house in Spain where they are given the first aid, food and shelter. Between 300 and 600 dogs are constantly kept there.Every 7 to 8 weeks, adoption days are organised in Belgium during which adoptive parents can collect their dogs. A lot of love and patience is required for these poor creatures to regain confidence in the human kind.
